Locating Water Line Leaks
Leak in the Yard
If you find excess water in your yard or other symptoms of a yard leak, it may be on the main plumbing supply pipe that runs through your yard, or it may be from the irrigation system.
How We Find Leaks
To pinpoint leaks, we use pipe tracing equipment, air tests, and listening equipment. Our diagnostic methodology saves you money and keeps disruption of your home to a minimum.
Excavation and Repair
After finding the leak, the bad section of the pipe can now be dug up and replaced. If the piping is deteriorating, replacing the entire line may be a better option. We are equipped to go over all options and help with either a repair or a full replacement water supply pipe.
Leaks Above the Foundation
If your leaking pipe is above the foundation, the repair is usually much simpler, accessed by removing a section of drywall. With our state-of-the art equipment, we can often pinpoint the leak’s location so that the wall is only opened where necessary.
Leaks Under the House
Pier and Beam Foundation
Plumbing leaks under a home with a pier and beam foundation can sometimes go undetected, often until the homeowner notices a foul odor or structural problem with the home. These leaks are important to address quickly so the home is not damaged by moisture in the crawlspace.
Leaks in the crawlspace are often easier to detect because most of the plumbing can be seen, therefore a visual inspection can identify pooling water and the source of the leak. Repair is easier than most slab leaks because there is typically little to no digging or rerouting.
